FINANCIAL
HIGHLIGHTS
DRIVING VALUE AND ENHANCING THE
QUALITY OF THE PORTFOLIO THROUGH
ASSET RECYCLING
PLife REIT successfully executed its maiden asset
recycling initiative in FY2014
[1]
as it unlocked value
from the divestment of 7 less strategic nursing
homes and replaced them with 5 other more
attractive nursing homes to enhance the overall
value and growth potential of the REIT.
As at 31 December 2014, PLife REIT owns a portfolio
of 41 high quality properties valued at S$1.5 billion.
ENSURING STABLE DISTRIBUTIONS AND NAV
THROUGH PRUDENT RISK MANAGEMENT
Cognisant of our Japan exposure, we have put in
place earthquake insurance for our Japan portfolio
and continue to adopt a natural hedge strategy to
match our JPY assets with JPY liabilities as we
expand. The net income hedges which we have
locked in for our Japan portfolio for the next few
years will continue to shield PLife REIT against the
currency volatility.
