Employee Code of Conduct
Parkway Trust Management Limited (as manager of Parkway Life REIT) ("Company") is committed to
the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all business dealings and
relationships. The Employee Code of Conduct ("Code") outlines the principles, values and
standards of behaviour expected of all employees of the Company and serves as a framework to
guide them in their work.
The Code applies to all employees, regardless of role, level or location.
Key areas covered under the Code include:
- Compliance with Law - Employees shall conduct the Company's business activities in full
compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Professional Integrity - The Company is committed to fostering a fair and equitable
environment for all employees, tenants, vendors, and business partners, regardless of
personal characteristics. It competes fairly in the market, ensuring all relationships are
based on fairness and lawfulness. Employees are required to ensure transactions are
undertaken in a manner consistent with these principles.
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption - The Company adopts a zero-tolerance approach towards
bribery, corruption, and any illegal, secret, or improper payments or transfers. This stance
applies to all employees, management, and third parties acting on behalf of the Company,
ensuring ethical conduct across all operations and jurisdictions.
- Conflict of Interest - Employees must avoid using their position or information gained at
work that could create an actual or perceived conflict between personal interests and the
interests of the Company, and must disclose any such conflicts promptly. Employees must
prioritise the Company's lawful interests over personal gain and must not establish
affiliations with the Company's tenants, vendors, or partners without written approval.
- Confidentiality, Protection of Assets and Insider Dealing - All confidential and proprietary
information, as well as the Company's physical and electronic assets, must be fully
protected and safeguarded. Insider trading is strictly prohibited.
- Political and Charitable Contributions - Employees are prohibited from using the
Company's resources for political or charitable purposes unless such contributions or use
are for bona fide and legitimate purposes. Unauthorised contributions or use of Company
resources are not permitted.
- Workplace Culture and Inclusion - The Company is committed to a respectful and inclusive
workplace that upholds diversity, free from discrimination and harassment.
- Occupational Health and Safety and Sustainability - The Company is dedicated to
maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and promoting sustainable practices
aligned with its environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives. Employees are
expected to uphold and promote sustainability in their work and conduct.
- Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing - Employees must comply with the
Company's policy on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism and
take appropriate actions to prevent such activities.
- Record-Keeping - Employees must ensure accuracy and transparency in all records and
transactions.
- Fit and Proper - Employees are required to meet the fit and proper criteria as required by the
Monetary Authority of Singapore at all times.
Employees are encouraged to report suspected violations of the Code. All reports will be handled
confidentially and without fear of retaliation in accordance with the Company's Fraud and Whistle-
Blowing Policy.
Through the Code, the Company reinforces its commitment to good corporate governance, integrity,
and accountability in business conduct.
